When I Grow Up, I Want To Be a Princess

Liza first entered the care system at the age of 3, navigating back and forth for years from Institutions to foster families. After 18 years spent in state institutions, she aged out of the Child Welfare System at the age of 21.

Liza managed to get into University and found a job as a waitress in a 5-star hotel. Since May 2018, she shares an apartment in Athens with her brother, Michael.

To tell her story, we decided to join our audio and video material and do this project together.

"They call me "Liza" but I prefer Elizabeth, my real name. It reminds me of fairy-tales and princesses. "
